Privacy Policy

This policy explains how NourishMark (nourishmark.com), operated by Four Cents ("we", "us"), handles information when you use this site. The short version: we collect very little, we do not sell personal information, and the numbers you type into our tools never leave your browser.
Information we collect
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic: pages viewed, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and referring source. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.
- Server and security logs. Standard technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) are processed by our infrastructure providers for security, abuse prevention, and diagnostics.
- Newsletter email. If you subscribe to updates, we store the email address you provide, and nothing else, to send you those updates.
- Email you send us. If you contact us at [email protected], we receive your address and message and use them only to respond.
What stays in your browser
Our calculators and interactive article tools run entirely on your device. The figures you enter (income, spending, project dimensions, and similar) are saved only in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits. They are never transmitted to us or to any third party, and clearing your browser data removes them completely.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to measure usage. Cloudflare, our content delivery and security provider, may set strictly technical cookies for performance and bot protection. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
Third parties
We share data only with the service providers required to run this site: Google (analytics) and Cloudflare (content delivery, security). Each processes data under its own privacy terms. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. Some articles contain affiliate links, disclosed in our disclosure policy; clicking one takes you to a third-party site governed by that site's own privacy practices.
Advertising
We do not currently run third-party advertising networks on this site. If that changes, this policy will be updated first and the relevant providers will be named here.
How long we keep information
Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Correspondence is kept as long as needed to handle your request. Analytics data is retained under Google Analytics' standard retention controls, set to the shortest practical period.
Your rights and choices
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you (in practice: your newsletter address or past correspondence), or to unsubscribe from any emails. Write to [email protected] and we will act on reasonable requests promptly, including rights available under the privacy laws of your jurisdiction (such as PIPEDA, GDPR, or CCPA where they apply).
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, personal data we hold is limited to the minimum described above, and access to it is restricted. No internet service can promise perfect security, but our best protection is structural: we simply hold very little.
Children
This site is general-audience educational content and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be noted prominently.
